SoftModem stack for Fax & Data modulations


Netbricks Softmodem stack is a family of portable software products designed to implement Fax/Modem modulations and written in ANSI-C language for ease of support and upgrade. It can be easily integrated with other Netbricks protocol stacks V42-BRICKS, FAX-BRICKS, ISDN-BRICKS. SOFTMODEM-BRICKS has been optimised for several CPUs : Pentium MMX, Power PC Altivec, MIPS, ARM 7/9 , TI DSP C5x/C6x. Netbricks can fine tune the SoftModem stacks to achieve customer's specific requirements. In addition, Netbricks can provide source code for detection and generation of call progress tones, DTMF, Caller ID (ETSI).

SOFTMODEM-BRICKS has been exhaustively tested against most of the commercial fax/modems for interoperability and is running successfully in various equipments of industry leaders including: Point of Sales terminal (POS), Set-Top Box, V.90 NAS server, Alarm system, T.38 Fax Relay Gateway , Residential Gateway (RW), Fax terminal , Lawful Interception solution...

The available packages are:

Fax G3 Low Speed
All modulations up to V.17 (14.4 Kbps): ITU-T V.21channel 2, V.27ter, V.29, V.17.
Fax G3 High Speed
All modulations up to V.34hdx (33.6 Kbps): ITU-T V.8, V.34 hdx and all low speed fax modulations.
Data Low Speed
All modulations up to V.22bis (2.4 K bps): ITU-T V.21, V.22/V.22bis, V.23, V.23 reverse, Bell103, Bell202, Bell212A.
Data Medium Speed
All modulations up to V.32bis (14.4 Kbps): ITU-T V.32bis, V.32 and all low speed data modulations.
Data High Speed
All modulations up to V.90 (56 Kbps): ITU-T V.8, V.34, V.90 and all medium speed data modulations.
POS
Modulations V.22/V.22bis & V.29 Fast Connect mode with a very short training time, very efficient for small data transfers.
Security Alarm Systems
Modulations compliant to CESA and SIA standards. Customized solutions based on higher baud rate modulations are possible.
